Join a Youth Mission trip
Ministry In Mission sponsors youth mission trips to South Florida.
The Ministry in Mission, Mission House located in Hollywood, Florida can sleep up to 14 and is a comfortable-centralized location to do mission work. Larger groups can be housed at a local University, where meals will also be provided.
Three Lutheran Churches, Holy Cross in North Miami, Gloria Dei in Davie and Miramar Lutheran are short distances from the Mission House and provide worship opportunities for the youth ministry.
Director of Christian Education Spencer Owen provides the hands-on Leadership of the mission teams, Spencer has years of experience in leading youth teams. Most recently, he led a team to the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod’s National Youth Gathering. Jackie Rychel from Ministry In Mission coordinates meals and transportation.
Activities for the youth missionaries are coordinated through the local churches and can include, painting or clean-up of needy parishioners homes. Vacation Bible school activities, swimming lessons, English as a second language classes, food pantry help. All activities are intended to show the love of Jesus Christ, to those we serve, and to give us the opportunity to share the Good News.
